Saturday Grade Boost

Are you failing one or more classes? Do you know help improving your grades? Come join us for a Grade Boost Saturday School where you can work with many of your teachers to improve your grades from 8AM-12PM on Saturday, October 5th. Please see the flyer below for more information!

Please join us for a Title 1 Parenting Meeting! 

WHEN: Friday, September 20, 2019
WHERE: AVHS Library
TIME: 7:00pm

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information to parents about our Title 1 Programs:
 Learn about the goals and purposes of Title 1
 Review the Parent and Family Engagement Policy
 Learn about how we spend our Title 1 monies
 Learn about teaching standards, curriculum, and assessments

Nurturing Parenting Program - Parenting Classes

Are you interested in learning how to manage your child's behavior without resorting to anger, threats, lectures? Our Nurturing Parenting Program will teach you how to raise responsible and respectful children while assisting them in becoming problem solvers, accepting responsibility, and making smart choices. Two of our Antelope Valley High School counselors, Mr. Cincis and Mrs. Kastner, will be facilitating a 10-week parenting class starting Wednesday, September 25h, 2019. Classes will be on Wednesdays from 4:30PM-6:30PM and will conclude on December 4th. We will be offering FREE childcare and dinner at each class.
