Counselor Spotlight

Meet Kazeem Tijani, school counselor at Antelope Valley High School. A proud alumnus of UC Riverside and the University of La Verne, Mr. Tijani joined the AVHS team in 2018. Along with his experience as a former Dean of Students, Mr. Tijani brings a passion for increasing exposure of college and career preparation programs to underrepresented groups. He views his role as a school counselor as an opportunity to prepare youth for the real world and its complexities beyond education. When he is not working with students, Kazeem enjoys basketball and being active. Thank you for being a great example to all Lopes!
