What Is It?

The Agriculture Science courses will provide students with theories and principles dealing with the science of plants, animals and the environment. Students will get a detailed knowledge of the central concepts, principles, and basic material of the following topics: molecular and cellular aspects of living things, structure and function of agricultural plants and animals, genetics, plant and animal diversity and principles of classification, ecological relationships, and animal behavior.

What To Expect

Students will be able to understand the role of plants and animals in our society and landscape. Throughout the year students participate in a number of career skill-building activities. Personal (soft), leadership, and career skills are developed through student organization, participation, and career readiness training. Students will develop a resume, write cover letters, complete job applications and participate in a mock interview with industry partners.
