PBIS

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It's a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success. PBIS emphasizes teaching positive behaviors, establishing clear expectations, and providing consistent reinforcement to promote a positive school climate and reduce disciplinary issues. It focuses on recognizing and rewarding desired behaviors rather than solely punishing negative ones. By implementing PBIS, schools aim to create a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and socially.
