AAMI/AAFI PCC Event in 2018

 

AAMI/AAFI Breaking News - Fall 2018

On Saturday, October 20 at Pasadena City College, a group of students and a couple of mentors from Antelope Valley attend the Young African-American Male Conference. Several young men came to the conference Dressed For Success, a major theme within the AAMI program.

Students were treated a breakfast buffet of fruit, doughnuts, bagels, muffins, and juice. Shortly after they treated a dynamic keynote speech and then proceeded to attend a couple of workshops ranging from college prep to Social Media & Technology. Students participated, asked questions and networked with many of the adults in the room.

The final prize was two young men, John Revis (10) and Kevin Jenkins (9) won brand new Deal Chrome books during the raffle at the end of the conference. Wow “If you ain’t in the water you can’t get wet”
